What responsibilities come with independent decision-making?
There are many responsibilities that need to be thought of when making independent decisions. Under different types of circumstances you must act quickly when making different decisions. Many people have to make decisions while under pressure, by their friends or there family. The decision that you make must be smart. As for me, I am not that good with independent decisions. I think smart about my decisions but not very quickly. I hesitate a lot when some decisions need no time to make. An example of me not doing so well with quick, fast decisions is the time when I was going to get ice cream but I didn’t know what flavor to get. I thought about which flavor I would enjoy the most. To me this was a hard decision that would take me time, but I didn’t have it. My brother and my sister already got their ice cream and my dad was getting impatient with me. I quickly search the flavors to find one that I thought would be a great choice. I quickly told my father before he would say I couldn’t get anything that I wanted the flavor Birthday Cake Oreo. That was the first time I ever saw that flavor but I thought it would taste good. I got my ice cream but I could see that my father was about to smack me in the head if I took any longer. At least I enjoyed my Birthday Cake Oreo ice cream From my experience here you must think smart when making independent decisions and you must think quickly when you need to.
Another responsibility that you must insure while making independent decisions are thinking about the consequences when making those decisions. An example of thinking of the consequences is when people offer you drugs and those people are your friends. If I was asked I would automatically go to the principal’s office and get new friends. You must think in that way to. In these types of situations you must think smart and know what consequences come with such action. Some different types of consequences that come with those actions are going to prison, death, and losing the trust friends and family. Drugs are very bad for the future of the nation’s minors. These drugs can destroy a person’s mind when they are used in that misused way. The drug marijuana is known for hurting the lungs of the people who misuse it and can cause death. Drugs in general can cause death in many different and painful deaths. When working with independent decisions you must think of the consequences which are shown through the present day problem of drug misuse.
A person must insure their responsibilities when making these important independent decisions without the help of other people. It is important to be smart and think about the consequences when in these different types of situations. People of different ages don’t think of their responsibilities when making decisions and ruin their lives forever.
